- Login to Smart-track.net:
- If you haven’t created an account, you might need to sign up. If you already have an account, log in using your credentials.
- Add a New Device:
- Once logged in, locate the “Devices” or “Manage Devices” option in the dashboard. Click on it to add a new device.
- Fill in Device Information:
- You will be prompted to enter information about the device you want to register. This typically includes the device name, unique identifier (IMEI, serial number, or other device-specific ID), and device type.
- Select Device Type and Protocol:
- Choose the appropriate device type (such as GPS, GLONASS, or a specific tracker model) and communication protocol (TCP, UDP, or other protocols supported by your device).
- Configure Device Communication Settings:
- Enter the device’s communication settings, including the IP address or domain of the smart-track server and the port number. You may also need to set up additional parameters based on your device’s requirements.
- Save and Verify:
- After entering all the necessary information, save the device configuration. Smart-track will attempt to establish a connection with the device using the provided settings.
- Verify Device Connection:
- Once the device is registered, verify its connection status on the Smart-track dashboard. A green icon or status indicator typically indicates a successful connection.
- Set Up Geofencing and Notifications (Optional):
- If you want to set up geofencing or receive notifications for specific events, configure these settings for the registered device. You can define geofence zones and set up alerts for entry, exit, or other events.
- Monitor and Manage Devices:
- Once the device is registered and connected, you can monitor its real-time location, view historical data, and manage various settings through the Smart-track web interface.
